Krasny Mayak

The electromechanical general-purpose vibrator comprises an asynchronous electric motor with a short-circuited rotor and unbalanced masses fixed on the shaft. Its design provides vibrostability of the stator windings and mechanical durability of the rotor shaft, of the bearing assembly and the nonrotational parts.
The electric motor stator forms an integral part of the aluminium cast body with a terminal box and reinforced elements of fastening to the vibrating mechanism. The shaft of the rotor rests on bearings. Unbalanced adjustable units are covered by protective casings. There is a terminal block in the terminal box for connection of the stator outputs to the power cable.
Adjustment of the driving force and the amplitude of oscillation is carried out by the change of interposition of the unbalanced masses. When the rotor of the electric motor rotates, circular fluctuations of the vibrator and the mechanism attached to it occur.
In order to transform circular vibrations into directional ones two similar vibrators with a parallel arrangement of the shafts are installed on one plane. When the rotors of the electric motors are connected to the power circuit, they should rotate in opposite directions; thus, the values of the established static moment of both vibrators are summarized.
